La Scuola di Studi Superiori “G. Leopardi” dell’Università di Macerata, nell’ambito delle attività condivise della rete EFC, organizza la Scuola di Alta Formazione (SAF) dal titolo “Visual Studies: Contemporary views and methodologies for analyzing the relationship between humans and images” che si terrà dal 14 al 17 luglio 2025, a Macerata.
La SAF propone un approfondimento intensivo e multidisciplinare sul rapporto tra esseri umani e immagini. L’obiettivo è offrire ai/alle partecipanti non solo una prospettiva articolata sull’argomento, ma anche un’esperienza formativa che integri metodi e strumenti diversi, utili ad analizzare e comprendere la struttura, la funzione e il potere delle immagini.
A chi è rivolta
La SAF è rivolta a dottorandi/e e studenti magistrali – o ultimi due anni di corsi a ciclo unico (con priorità per chi è iscritto/a a Scuole Superiori Universitarie).
Costi
Partecipazione gratuita. Organizzazione e copertura dell’ospitalità (vitto e alloggio) interamente a carico della Scuola di Studi Superiori “G. Leopardi”.

As part of the shared initiatives of the EFC network, the Scuola di Studi Superiori “G. Leopardi” – University of Macerata promotes the summer school (SAF) “Visual Studies: Contemporary Views and Methodologies for Analyzing the Relationship between Humans and Images” which will be held in Macerata from 14 to 17 July 2025.
The SAF represents a moment of multidisciplinary dialogue on the theme of the relationship between humans and images. It aims to provide students not only with an articulate perspective on the subject, but also a multidisciplinary exposure to methods and tools that allow us to analyze and reflect on the structure of images, the function of images and the power of images.
Who can apply
PhD candidates and Master’s students – or students enrolled in the final two years of a single-cycle degree course (with priority given to those affiliated with Scuole Superiori Universitarie).
Costs
Participation is free of charge. Accommodation and meals are fully covered by the Scuola di Studi Superiori “G. Leopardi”.
