Across Europe, seven organizations out of ten report difficulties in recruiting professionals with data and AI skills. At the same time, the need for experts capable of managing research data responsibly across its lifecycle is rapidly increasing.
Join the Virtual Open Day of the Master in Data Management and Curation (MDMC), the advanced training program promoted for the third year by Area Science Park and SISSA – Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati, and discover how to develop skills that are strategic for research data management and data-driven environments.
The presentation webinar will be an opportunity to learn more about the structure of the program, its training contents and opportunities, as well as the career prospects related to emerging roles in data management and Open Science, which are increasingly in demand across research institutions, scientific infrastructures and innovative organizations.
During the webinar, scheduled for Thursday, 7 May, from 16:00 to 17:00 (CEST), the following topics will be presented:
- program objectives and contents
- admission requirements and application procedures
- scholarships and financial support opportunities
- teaching activities, internship and final thesis project
- infrastructures and facilities available to participants
Following the introductory remarks by the Scientific Coordinators of the Master, Stefano Cozzini, Director of the Institute for Technological Innovation Research at Area Science Park, and Eugenio Piasini, Principal Investigator of SISSA Neural Computation Lab, the program will be presented by Mariarita de Luca and Federica Bazzocchi, lecturers of the course.
The webinar will also include a session of testimonials from students, researchers and professionals from both research institutions and data-driven organizations, together with companies that have hosted MDMC interns. This will provide a valuable opportunity to understand how the skills developed during the program can be applied across different research and professional contexts. The event will conclude with an open Q&A session.
Participation is free, subject to registration.
