Scuola IMT will host the Workshop on Mathematical Methods for Complex Networks on March 9–10, 2026, at Cappella Guinigi (Piazza San Francesco 19, Lucca).
The two-day interdisciplinary workshop will focus on the development and application of mathematical methods for complex network problems, with particular attention to areas such as international trade, logistics, transportation, routing, and traffic forecasting. Through a series of seminars by invited leading experts, the workshop will present recent advances in network optimization, game theory, machine learning and statistics, numerical analysis, and network resilience, combining both theoretical and application-oriented perspectives.
Participation is free of charge. Attendance in person is limited to approximately 25 participants (excluding speakers); remote participation will also be available.
Those interested in attending in person are kindly invited to contact the organizers in advance at francesco.biancalani@imtlucca.it and giorgio.gnecco@imtlucca.it
